neo-Pantheism is a neo-Paradigm
neo-Pantheism is a humanistic paradigm characterized by an awesome Universe with a Goddess-like essence to it that shows us the Tao, an unconventional type of monotheism and a self-authenticating secular spirituality. Its ethical base is human survival, wellbeing, enlightenment, family and virtue. Sexual equality and self-responsibility (Karma) are advocated. It is guided by science and reason and worships nothing as divine. It envisions a grand Destiny for mankind in a sane and intelligent future world.

Childhood's End
neo-Pantheism is a modernized concept of a very old world view that is intrinsic to many religions. It is a linking together of ideas from different religious thoughts to form a more universal and comprehensive theory for living in the 21st century. It is an adult religious philosophy for a maturing world. "When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child. But when I became a man, I put away childish things." - Paul, I Corinthians, 13.11

Spinoza father of modern Pantheism
Pantheism may have been the first religion of mankind. The Greek Stoics were pantheistic. Taoism is also. Philosopher Baruch Spinoza (1632-1677) formalized to some degree the basis for Pantheism over 300 years ago. Modern philosophers that may have been influenced by his writings include Dewey, Santayana, Bertrand Russell and Ayn Rand. Charles Darwin was pantheistic in his thinking. Scientists Albert Einstein and Carl Sagan were more recent disciples of Spinoza. Spinzoa wrote in his Ethics -
"God, or substance, consists of infinite attributes, of which each express eternal and infinite essentiality, necessarily exist....Besides God no substance can be granted or conceived....Whatsoever is, is in God, and without God nothing can be, or be conceived. God is the indwelling, and not the transient cause of all things."

Carl Sagan
"A religion old or new, that stressed the magnificence of the universe as revealed by modern science, might be able to draw forth reserves of reverence and awe hardly tapped by the conventional faiths. Sooner or later, such a religion will emerge." - Pale Blue Dot

Albert Einstein
"A knowledge of the existence of something we cannot penetrate, of the manifestations of the profoundest reason and the most radiant beauty - it is this knowledge and this emotion that constitute the truly religious attitude; in this sense, and in this alone, I am a deeply religious man."- The World as I See It

Charles Darwin
Darwin was certainly a naturalist and today, I believe, would be a neo-Pantheist. His comment - "But with regard to the material world, we can at least go so far as this - we can perceive that events are brought about not by insulated interpositions of Divine power, exerted in each particular case, but by the establishment of general laws." This is basic neo-Pantheism.

neo-Pantheism, a Consilience of Ideas
neo-Pantheism is currently being ‘engineered’ by Jerald L. Robertson, physicist, of Cincinnati, Ohio. It will be presented to the public shortly (book in 2009) as an alternative to the failed doctrines of the past. He says "I am seeking unification, simplicity and efficiency along with sensibility and provability. neo-Pantheism is a high concept and a reasonable notion that fulfills man's need to know why. It is a tough minded, tender hearted religious philosophy made from a fusion of the Cosmos, Nature and human thought, many religious beliefs and self evident morality. It will be more rational, verifiable, humane and moral than current archaic doctrines. We need to end our intellectual childhood. It is time to use our reason to formulate our view of human life, just like science has done for our understanding of the natural world. A consilience* of religions and philosophies is badly needed"
*Consilience - the Unity of Knowledge - Edward O. Wilson
neo-Pantheism is not the worship of Nature
Many Pantheists worship Nature and the Cosmos. neo-Pantheism does not! Nothing but reason and logic are considered divine. neo-Pantheism does recognize the awe and wonder in the Universe and postulates a secular spirituality that each of us has with it all. Pretty sunsets and mountain views do not suffice for a realistic world view. A rational environmentalism helps. A well defined code of moral behavior is imperative to any paradigm for human life. neo-Panttheism has that. It also advocates equality for women, acceptance of good sex and euthanasia, transhumanism and awareness of the need for good Karma (self-direction).

A new beginning
Will Durant quoted William James "The history of philosophy is to a great extent that of a certain clash of human temperaments" and then added his opinion "These temperaments which select and dictate philosophies may be divided into the tender-minded and the tough-minded. The tender-minded temperament is religious; it likes to have definite and unchanging dogma, a priori truths...the tough minded temperament is materialistic, irreligious, empiricist...skeptical. Can a philosophy be found that will harmonize these apparently contradictory demands?"
